Bicycle Parking

Bicycle parking is an important part of a connected, convenient and comfortable cycling network. The Transportation & Works (T&W) department has developed an annual Bike Parking Program to increase the amount of safe, secure, and accessible bicycle parking throughout Mississauga.

Requesting New Bicycle Parking

People who choose to ride a bicycle must be confident that there will be a safe and secure place to park at their destinations. Requests for new bicycle parking infrastructure can be made via 311 by phone, online, or by using the PingStreet App. Please note, requests for bicycle parking must be made for locations within the City of Mississauga jurisdiction and on public property (i.e. road right-of-way, public parks, City owned buildings, MiWay terminals, and public spaces such as Mississauga Celebration Square). Bicycle parking infrastructure is installed where suitable based on a citywide priority basis as funding allows.

The process for new bicycle parking requests is noted below.

Requesting Temporary Event Bicycle Parking (Bike Valet)

Bike Valet is a free bike parking service that works like a coat check for bicycles. It’s easy! Just hand us your bike and accessories to one of our staff and get a ticket. On your way out, return the stub and we give you your items back.

To request a Bike Valet at your upcoming event, you can email cycling@mississauga.ca. Requests for the Bike Valet service can also be made via 311 by phone or online.

Reporting Damaged Bicycle Parking

We appreciate residents’ help in maintaining our bicycle parking infrastructure. If you see a damaged bicycle parking rack, please report it via 311 by phone, online, or by using the PingStreet App.

Please note, reports of damaged bicycle parking must be made for locations within the City of Mississauga jurisdiction and on public property (i.e. road right-of-way, public parks, City owned buildings, MiWay terminals, and public spaces such as Celebration Square). Bicycle parking infrastructure is repaired or replaced based on a citywide priority basis as funding allows.

The process for damaged bicycle parking reports is noted below.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding bicycle parking or the Transportation & Works Bicycle Parking Program, please email cycling@mississauga.ca or contact 311.
